No Zero Roulette

No Zero Roulette is a special variant of the roulette casino game which offers players an advantageous opportunity to get even money for their bets as the house edge in this roulette game is reduced to zero.

House edge is an advantage of the casino over the players. The fact that there are 36 numbers on the roulette table layout ideally would mean that if you win you single number bet (straight bet), the payout would make 36 to 1. But with a zero '0' (or even two zeros - '0' and '00' - in the American roulette) on the layout, the casino will pay only 35 to 1. This will make 2.67% house edge in the European roulette and even 5.26% in the American variant of the game.

Some casinos with European roulette tables may offer La Partage and En Prison rules. If you bet on any single number beside zero and zero is the outcome, these rules give you an opportunity either to save 50% of your bet (the La Partage rule) or at least postpone your bet to the next spin of the roulette wheel (the En Prison rule). But the use of these rules only reduces the house advantage.

No Zero Roulette offers players an unprecedented opportunity to get even money for their bets as there is no zero on the layout in this variant of a casino roulette game. It means that compared to the European or American roulette, in No Zero roulette a bet on a certain color has exactly 50% chance to come out in the end, and the player will get even money.

Rules of No Zero Roulette game

The No Zero Roulette wheel doesn't have a pocket for zero. It means that only 36 numbers are represented on the wheel and table layout. As it was mentioned above, this means that the house edge of the casino equals zero.

The rules of No Zero Roulette are basically the same as those in the European or American roulette. This means that the players can make all kinds of inside and outside bets just like in any other game variant:

  • Straight bets on any given number from 1 to 36,
  • Split bets on two numbers,
  • Street bets on three numbers,
  • Corner bets on four numbers,
  • Line bets on six numbers respectively, or:
  • Column bets on any of the three vertical rows of numbers each comprising 12,
  • Dozen bets on the first, second or third 12 numbers on the layout,
  • Bets on Black/Red, Even/Odd or Low/High (numbers from 1 to 18 and 19 to 36 respectively).

If the bet wins, you get your true odds. Theoretically, if you only make outside bets, you may go on playing almost forever as the chance your bet wins will make 50% as there is no zero in the game.

Of course, removing zero in the No Zero Roulette doesn't automatically mean that every player will win. A lot of unprepared roulette players who have no game strategies and make their bets at random will bring profit to the casino. But anyway, No Zero Roulette is a very good way to enjoy the game of the roulette and even occasionally make some profit.
